You are belittling "popular" music to obtain "indie" cred. You're being overly childish by saying how much you hate mainstream music. So you CAN'T listen to a certain song because so many people listen to it? You need to learn to branch out and stop thinking so highly of yourself and your "unpopular" music.

If you're such a non-conformist then why are you following the path of every other nineteen year old kid and following your parents' dream of having a successful college student, etc? Non-conformists are people that are totally in the opposite of everything...like living in the desert alone with a pet goat and eating glass. Not "Oh I don't listen to Death Cab For Cutie because a radio station plays their music."

You are being ignorant, immature, trendy kids. Do yourself a favor and stop. You're embarrassing yourself by overdoing it to the max. Yeah, sure, some popular music is crap but you are taking it way too far to try and look so original.
