Beginning in fall 2007, KGSM will have the capabilities to produce full length radio documentaries and other produced pieces. With the recent purchase of the Marantz PMD 660 KGSM journalists can now go anywhere in the world interviewing people and collecting information for news and information pieces commissioned by the station. Additionally, the new iMac and Digidesign Pro Tools software allow those interviews to be mixed together into a coherent piece. No longer are our journalists restricted to the studio. This document is our official guide to using the PMD660 and the in-studio software to produce your own documentary.
