Yoshi's afro + Mike's comb-over = unbelievable hair

If you could see Yoshi and Mike's hair while they're on the air, you would be blown away.  Not as blown away as you would be if you used the industrial-strength automatic hand dryer in the guys restroom across from the radio studio (if you haven't checked it out yet, please do- it's pretty impressive), but you would still say to yourself: "Those heads of hair belong in the Smithsonian."

With that said, Yoshi and Mike have two more award-winning radio shows in them before the end of the semester!  So listen in on May 17 and 24 at the usual time: 8-10pm.

Extended Interview Audio

Yesterday I posted the unedited interviews from the Building Bridges documentary project I worked on during spring break. The documentary, "Building Bridges 2008: How Will History Judge Us?" features Gustavus students Asitha Jayawardena, Jing Han Soh and Director of Multicultural Programs Virgil Jones as well as the keynote speaker Paul Rusesabagina and Dr. Waziyatawin Angela Wilson. The unedited audio from my interview with Asitha, Jing Han and Virgil are available and linked below.

KGSM: Taking your calls LIVE

That's right everyone, starting this week you will be able to call in to your favorite KGSM show and be put on the air LIVE with your host.  No longer do KGSM DJ's need to hold cell phones up to the microphone or carry on conversations with callers while the listeners wonder curiously, who might be on the other end of that telephone conversation.  Call in and be part of the KGSM experience.

Yoshi and Mike's Final Month on the Air at KGSM!

Yeah, why don't I start doing a blog at the END of Yoshi and my radio career at KGSM?  Smart.  Anywho, please tune into our radio show every Saturday at 8-10pm for the remainder of the the school year (May 22nd or something like that).  Next week, we'll be either cancelling our show or moving it to an ealrier time, so join our Facebook group (named after our radio show) so that you can receive the most recent update.  This week, make sure you eat some asparagus- it's good for you (and it makes your pee smell like raw sewage, so if you usually let your yellow mellow, you might want to reconsider)!

 High Five,

Michael J.
